Hello From Seoul

The last time I saw my older sister in person was February 2016, until yesterday. Danielle made the jump two years ago to move to South Korea to teach English as a second language to third graders. It's bittersweet; she loves it. Danielle may never move back to the US, but this is something I've learned to love for her. Happiness is difficult enough to find, and she has found it here. South Korea could not make more sense for her. This truly is her element. And while being on a fourteen hour time difference isn't the greatest, I can't complain that I am experiencing Korea because of her. Hopefully this won't be my last trip to South Korea.

I'll be here for 5 more days, so the photos will continue. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from today with my mom and two sisters.

30 Weeks with Paige

I have finally reached the age where I have adorable pregnant friends. I am so excited! Yesterday I photographed my new friend, Paige. Paige is 30 weeks along and is absolutely glowing.

Reservoir Hill with Julianne

A week or two ago I finally got to "officially" meet my Instagram friend, Julianne. Though we've run in similar circles before, this was the first time we had actually talked face-to-face. Julianne is one of the faces of Brightside Boutique, which explains why her outfits are always so cute. She's creative and fashionable, and she even sewed herself a pair of pajama pants on the first day of owning a sewing machine. And so, to say the least, I have a girl-crush on Julianne.

Following meeting at a friend's, we decided to get together this week, and I was lucky enough to spend the day shooting with her where we took photos, climbed a tree, and walked her practically-famous dog, Meeko. The only downside to the day was the number of times I had to stop because I misplaced my lens cap. Shooting with someone with real modeling experience is a game-changer. I'm so happy with how all of these photos turned out!

Be sure to follow Julianne on Instagram to see more from this shoot and more of Meeko.

An Overcast Morning with James Harper

I've always been a bit of a morning person, but in picking up a job where I work at noon and don't get off till 10, my schedule has shifted from the norm. James Harper is one of my favorite Baltimore photographers, and I finally convinced him to get out of bed at 8 a.m. to take early morning photos with me before I had to endure a day of work.

Shooting with other photographers is my favorite. You play on each other's styles, try different poses, and scoping locations is much easier with another set of eyes. Until the other day, I've yet to really go downtown to shoot, and to say the least, I have a newly found love for urban settings, and well, parking garages.

Above are a collection of photos from our early overcast morning in the Inner Harbor. If it wasn't obvious, photos of James were taken by me, photos of me were taken by James.
